Quarterly subscriptions officially renew on the first day of the quarter (January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1). Annual subscriptions renew on January 1. When you first subscribe, your initial payment covers your access until that next official billing date.

We use Stripe's trial system to align everyone's billing dates to the 1st of the quarter or year. You aren't actually on a free trial; your initial payment at checkout (the setup fee) covers your access during this window until your automated recurring billing begins.

If you subscribe to a physical plan, we typically ship the current quarter's release shortly after signup. However, if you sign up right before a new quarter begins, we'll waive your setup fee, charge you for the upcoming quarter, and your first physical shipment will be the brand-new issue.

If you subscribe within 48 hours of our next billing cycle, we shift your automated billing date to the following cycle. To keep things fair, we charge your first full cycle upfront today, grant you immediate digital access, and for physical plans, we waive the initial setup fee entirely so you only pay for the upcoming cycle.

Our introductory setup fees and trial periods are reserved for first-time subscribers. When you resubscribe, you will bypass the setup phase and simply pay your standard, full subscription rate upfront. This immediately restores your digital access and aligns your account with our regular billing cycle.

Cancel anytime via the customer portal. Your access to the digital archive and physical shipments will continue until the end of your current paid billing period.
